Bone Temple - 9/10

Like Years, I had no idea what to expect and I certainly wasn't disappointed. I don't want to give anything away, but some of the scenes are unbelievably batsh!t yet fit perfectly. The focus is on Jimmy (who's easily the seediest character I've seen in a while) the doctor and Samson, which is what the audience wanted I think.

Expands on a lot of things, but doesn't feel like they're going overboard with it and looking to endlessly extend the franchise which has been the downfall of many horror series. One more would do it, and I believe it's in development

Wow - that's unexpectedly positive! (I haven't even seen "Years" yet. It sounds good, but the first two films are SUCH a hard act to follow, one can't help being pessimistic ... )

F1 the movie. Starring Brad Pitt. 5/10. Lewis Hamilton co-produced it, and you get the feeling that he's chosen all the product placements, and the soundtrack. Brad Pitt puts in a strong performance but the rest of the cast (apart from the irish tech lady and Javier Bardem) are just decoration. The story follows most racer type movies e.g. Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and Cars!

I avoided everything going into it but inevitably a headline popped up saying it was better than Days... I wouldn't say that like, but it's a seriously good film.

What sticks out for me about all of them is that there are scenes and lines which are lodged in my brain, whether they're brutal, clever or funny; they all have a "moment" (or several). I don't think there's many film series which maintain that consistency and interest.

Banging soundtrack too.
