Not so much a film, but this cropped up on YouTube, in the 'sidebar'
This was the opening sequence
It's been quite a few years since I've seen it, & had forgotten how it began

Old Boy (2013) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldboy_(2013_film)
I found it strange. Some of the now common fight scenes that are more like dance. Sort of engaging but at the end I did wonder what the point was (maybe I'm just too slow to have appreciated its message). Not a film I'd recommend but also not a disaster.

Having watched through to the end, with hindsight now I wouldn't bother watching it.

Try the original. The remake was totally pointless, and somehow terrible despite being almost identical.

I watched the Mandalorian film with my son.
Total nonsense, lots of fights, no jeopard as you know he isn’t going to die, but still good fun.
It’s a kids film, don’t take it seriously.

Tonight, and so many nights previous. nothing worth mentioning.
I could, but I'll let others decide for themselves as nothing exceedingly good, or bad. Quite a sad post regarding the current output.

Oh! just remembered. The Batman trilogy. Not as good as I remembered but Heath Ledger's was a shining light performance.

Is This Thing On? A Drama about Liverpudlian comedian John Bishop's rise to the comedy circuit. It seems very odd to make this based on part of his life, but have it set in the USA using american actors. Even though I'm not a fan of John Bishop, it was an ok movie

Total nonsense is right.
Started off straight out of the James Bond playbook and looked very promising, especially in Imax, then went downhill very fast. Yes it is a kids film but there's no excuse for the banal and the boring.

Some big names staring in the film eg Liam Neeson. Plenty of action sequences well made but what little story there was predictable so overall rather dull despite stars, action, etc. Bit of a wast of however long the playing time was.

I saw that last year. Liam Neeson seems to play the same character with the same background, cut and paste into a slightly different scenario. See also Cold Pursuit, The Grey, Taken, Unknown etc etc. Entertaining films nonetheless

One excellent Liam Neeson film (maybe following the same "spirit") I watched recently was Memory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_(2022_film)). Can't remember if I posted it in this thread.

Story of a hitman who is suffering dementia and knows it and has a few moral principles that he holds absolute. Story is when he aborts a contract because of his principles and subsequent consequences (which I didn't think completely predictable from the basis of the situation).

I suspect it was meant to be a comedy except is wasn't funny, just rather silly. Complete waste of effort by everybody involved. completely daft story, not very inspired script, no notable performances, very low budget.

Only "saving grace" is it's only 1h20 (skipping all the credits at the end). But I wish I'd spent that time on anything else.
