What film did you watch last night?

Normal.

Bob Odenkirk of Breaking Bad etc fame.
Sort of like Nobody, a seemingly average guy who is handy in a fight.
It's not Citizen Kane but a enjoyable way of whiling away 1.5 hrs which in itself is unusual these days, a film so short in running time

Overall I did enjoy it - one of the better Craig Bonds? - and in particular the opening segment (in that absurdly pretty italian town, upto when he gets on the train) is one of my favourite bits of modern action cinema.

Overall I did enjoy it - one of the better Craig Bonds? - and in particular the opening segment (in that absurdly pretty italian town, upto when he gets on the train) is one of my favourite bits of modern action cinema.

It just wasn't really Bond enough for me, same as Spectre, they're more psychological thriller relying on harking back to childhood etc whereas I prefer an over the top action romp like You Only Live Twice, or something more realistic that you think could actually possibly happen, such as From Russia With Love, or For Your Eyes Only.

It's about time the DB5 was retired as well, shot to pieces in the opening scene, which I did like, it reappears at the end without a scratch on it.

And Oscar Goldman must be back at the agency as I can't see how else Felix would get a new pair of legs.

Of the Craig films I still think Skyfall is the best.

I hated that bit. My children convinced me to go with them to see it, though I don't like bond. I was just about dozing off, thinking I would get a two hour kip, and then the shooting and exploding started. Pah.

Beware of Prime lying about IMDB ratings.
The Devils Mouth popped up with 8/10 which I thought was unusually high for the type of film. Actual IMDB score, 5/10.

Speak no Evil (2024). James McAvoy plays a frightening, very messed up character with an awful Devon accent that seems to switch on and off more times than my fridge light. But, an entertaining watch with a sinister plot. 7/10. Loses a mark for the simple fact that if the adults made more sensible decisions, they wouldn't have got into a mess to start with.
