What film did you watch last night?

Fall - 8/10

There's not much to this beyond 2 young women climbing what remains the fourth highest structure in the US - a rusted TV transmission pole. One of them remains an adrenaline junkie but the other is traumatised by the death of her husband in a previous climbing accident.

So far, so Cliffhanger, but this is genuinely terrifying and not camp fun. I'm not scared of heights but I do have a thing where I feel the urge to chuck myself off high things, so this leaves me with sweaty palms.

Apparently a sequel has just come out. Gonna have to put on my bravery pants before I watch that.

I found that film to be genuinely terrifying. Tense just doesn't come close.

Second best fillum ever made after Predator.

If there's a nastier bad guy out there than John Lithgow's Eric Qualen then I've yet to see them.

Who would have thought a movie about predicting the weather would be so good. The true story of the meteorologists trying to predict the weather for the D-Day landings.
Great screenplay and great performances, especially from Brendan Fraser. Tense, edge of the seat stuff and not overly long either.

Was strange though seeing Con O'Neill who played Monty in SAS Rogue Heroes, not playing Monty in the movie, opposite Damian Lewis who did play Monty.
