What gig did you go to last night?

Tonight seeing the remnants of The Selecter and The Beat / Dave Wakeling plus Rhoda Dakar spinning some 2-tone discs as a warm up

A few nights ago now , but saw the 5,6,7,8s at the 100 Club on Sunday. Great fun, if you didn’t think slightly aging Japanese women in cocktail dresses playing surf guitar rock was your thing you may well be missing out.

I had to google but watched the kill bill films - I did miss out sadly only 1 UK date, but I'd have enjoyed that

Disappointingly I didn't go to the Karl Wallinger/World Party celebration at the Shepherds Bush Empire on Sunday night because I was lousy with a cold. I did manage to resell my ticket though so at least someone else managed to enjoy it on my behalf.

I'm on my way home from seeing Millie Manders and the Shut Up at Le Pub in Newport Mon.
They are a four piece loud rock band and were excellent.

That was excellent. Pauline Black looks, moves and commands the room like someone 10-20 years her junior, and the Sax player in Dave's backing band was amazing. Really nice atmosphere, top night out.

The sound quality wasn't great, but was very enjoyable, not your usual Scottish folk/rock
