Sad, this. No one else bothered to stop?

Well done you. I suspect if he'd had a fit, when he came too he probably felt a bit disorientated, and acted a little irrationally.

Just to back that up (not that it needs it), I used to support folk with very persistent epilepsy, and yup, I think I'd be frustrated and cross after a fit, must be infuriating to drop out like that.

Incidentally if you see someone having a fit for the love of god don't put anything in their mouths and don't hold them down. Clear the area of anything they could hurt themselves on and if needs be try and get something like a coat or jumper under their face (if you can). Time the fit if you can and if it goes over a couple of minutes call an ambulance. When they come round they'll know better than you what they need, so just listen. Don't let anyone crowd around!

People did slow down and a taxi did stop, but he saw me there and obviously thought I had it covered, so drove off again after a short while.

I have no doubt he was disorientated, he didn't even seem to know he had had a seizure, but that very quickly evaporated and just became obnoxious towards me for jeopardising the structural integrity of his cakes!.

I find it annoying afterwards, especially when I'm classed as a drunk or high as a kite.

Especially your fingers. Think of the Shawshank Redemption & the response from Dufrane about the closing pressure.
At times its the only time you'll get a straight answer from me. Honest & straight, so don't ask awkard ones.

Yes I have had albeit brief experience of someone fitting properly several times, head banging off the ground and so on, so I know all of that.

The thing was, the guy today wasn't doing the shaking.... well, he was, but only slightly, and we was there staring at me. I just assumed it was the type of fit where not much actually happens.

Thats part of the Cub Scout Law.

Maggot, confrm this part. I know you're a Scout Leader. However you will have had to take cubs as well I presume.

Without googling - what I remember after after some 40-odd years:
" I promise to do my duty to God & the Queen, to help other people at all times, and to obey the scout law. "
or something like that. I can't actually remember where the good deed came in (I was never a cub), but I'm sure I was supposed to do one. Somehow it was also impressed that 'once a scout- always a scout' - once the promise was made, you couldn't go back. I haven't always managed to stick to that, but can still tie a reef-knot, bowline, clovehitch, sheetbend, and sheephank, light a pipe fire with 2 matches, recognise tree leaves and tie a triangular bandage...^_^

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Re-read my mums electric meter as she has read it wrong and was being charged for an extra 5000 units , going back today to seal a leaking down pipe on the guttering weather permitting.

It looks like I am about to perform today's good deed by letting my folks watch Wimble bloody don instead of Le Tour, seeing as they are going off on holiday tomorrow leaving me in peace for the next 10 days to watch said Le Tour in perfect peace. I'll need to console myself with watching it later.

Still bloody annoying though, why oh why oh why do we not have Eurosport on any other telly?

Bugger.
