Well done you. I suspect if he'd had a fit, when he came too he probably felt a bit disorientated, and acted a little irrationally.
Just to back that up (not that it needs it), I used to support folk with very persistent epilepsy, and yup, I think I'd be frustrated and cross after a fit, must be infuriating to drop out like that.
Incidentally if you see someone having a fit for the love of god don't put anything in their mouths and don't hold them down. Clear the area of anything they could hurt themselves on and if needs be try and get something like a coat or jumper under their face (if you can). Time the fit if you can and if it goes over a couple of minutes call an ambulance. When they come round they'll know better than you what they need, so just listen. Don't let anyone crowd around!
