Washed two very dusty bikes. Adjusted the canti's on the commuter and wiped down both bike's drivechains as they were covered in oily dust.

Very nice @sevenfourate - if they've done it for free the least you can give them is a shout as free publicity![]()
Are those the ones we were discussing earlier in the week or am I getting mixed up with another bike?(Cheap ?) Skewers were struggling) on the clamping of the new Hubs (🤷♂️).

Oh, and another QR issue, this time one that I experienced myself on one bike with one set of skewers...You told me about your friends Stretchy Titanium on his bike…..
Oh, and another QR issue, this time one that I experienced myself on one bike with one set of skewers...
I had a problem with the rear wheel pulling loose when I was making big efforts on super-steep climbs so I stopped and tightened the QR.
That solved the wheel coming loose problem. Some time after the gradient of the climb eased though I realised that it still felt like very hard work...
It turned out that I had overtightened the QR to the extent that the hub bearings were binding. The wheel wouldn't spin freely when I lifted it clear of the road. If I gave it a hard flick it would stop spinning after only about a quarter of a revolution!
I was very surprised that this happened but, slackening the QR slightly sorted the problem out. QR too loose = wheel not retained properly; QR too tight = hard work and/or damaged bearings; QR correctly adjusted = wheel retained, free-spinning, and happy bearings!

,luckily had removed the wheel and pads already but had to clear up the spill.Luckilly still had the older funnel with the smaller thread and found an adapter but I'll have to get a new funnel as the old one doesn't seal very well with the plug in so fluid does dribble out when you remove it ,good job I kept it as a spare though.
