Nice to find an hour or two for myself; after a long and fairly manic week at work…..

So with that - this Morning I fully cleaned the Carrera: Including a drivetrain clean (Very quick, extremely clean; and definitely NOT a Faff for us Waxers 😉)

I then realised the rear Mudguard ‘bracket’ had a split in it. Hence why it was hanging lop-sided / I noticed today 😳

A quick trip to Halfords got me a replacement: which now feels infinitely firmer once in place 😁

And seeing as my 0-24nm Torque Wrench arrived yesterday - I was finally able to set set the height, tighten seat rail clamping bolts, the seat clamp bolt (After turning clamp around 180 degrees), set the position of new Topeak underseat bag etc on the ongoing ‘new Burgamont build’.

Swapped wheels over on the All Road as winter is approaching ,now on Halo Vapour rims with Travail Cannonball 35's.

Did have to faff with the mudguards especially the front to stop them rubbing and needed some persuasion for the tyres to seat, ended up using some Schwalbe easy tyre mounting fluid.

Circumstances meant I had to give the neglected Raleigh Station bike a looking at.
Cleaned the chain, that was a revelation.
Then the derailieur ( spell it, I need a run up to say it) consumed an afternoon. But amazingly it now has all the 27 gears. They are all accessible but I don't quite see when the extreme combinations might be useful

New pedals, found some reflectors and lights. Have a late afternoon appointment and the ebike has no brakes.
The station bike will be considerably lighter to carry upstairs, or down, at the station.

We are going to see an opthalmic specialist in Ashford via Dover and Canterbury. How does that work?

The real problem in the woodshed has been the hydraulic brakes on Hercules.
Firstly the pads need replacing and second that means bleedin' brakes.

Saturday afternoon I ordered myself yo get on with it
Slowly and methodically I went through the process .
Quietly arrived at the point of having the brakes in good order. Inwardly pleased and my mood has improved considerably.
This because in our 1 car household I am mobile again.
