I can't comment on North Oxfordshire, but the Chilterns run through South Oxfordshire, which are jolly nice.

Although many of the Chilterns were moved into Oxforshire from Berkshire

Years ago when I were a lad used to go out with Hounslow Wheelers,and they used to do a little group TT thru sluff,along the A4, Hit the lights at 29 mph east to west and you d catch them all green.
