The bike shop don't do test ride. Your only allowed to sit on them

I haven't reclaimed a bike from the dump for quite some years - I'm doing alright now thanks.

Mine was a 'Universal Fusion' bought for £50 from Toys'R'us. Gas pipe steel frame with cheese components, wheels that buckled if they came within 50yds of a pothole and gears that never worked. Also had plastic brakes I think. Thankfully someone stole it when I lived in Reading, otherwise I may have been put off cycling for life!

I don't think I've ever had a bad bike. Had a Dawes SuperGalaxy for 15 years, replaced it with a Brompton and then added a TRICE Q. Brompton was recently replaced with a new one but only because it wasn't that much more expensive than upgrading the gears on my existing one.
