I'm tempted to do another tour this year, possibly in September.

This would be in another 9 days, staying either at YHs or with family/friends. Does anyone have a better idea of route?
I'm also going to do a long weekend with my father in July something like this:

I wonder though whether I have the gears for the west of Scotland. I'm riding a bike that currently has 52-42 on the front, and a 5 speed cassette on the back. I managed everything except a short part of the road to the Lecht summit on the previous tour.
