Upbeat EDM dance track, really like this one.

Someone at work gave me this magazine, after I saw the cover
No!, not because of Metallica!!
(although the article about the creation of the Blondie track Maria was interesting, as it's my 2nd favourite single after Union City Blues)

This was the article of interest, primarily concerned with the writing of the LP, The Crossing
My copy has a blue sleeve, which is the first pressing I believe? (later sleeves are red or green)

The singles from it were;

Fields Of Fire
The "400 Miles, Without A Word Until You Smile" line was stated as being the distance between London & Dunfermline, & not talking to anyone on the train journey

Steel Town was their 2nd LP, & a wonderful follow up, with such cracking tracks as Come Back To Me, Where The Rose Is Sown, Steel Town
Flame Of The West
(seemed to me, to have almost prophesised Donald Trump!)

A stranger came by travelling
He went to every door
He said he'd lost his people
He'd come to look for more
And many did believe him
As he talked upon the square
The spell he wove upon us
Fills my body with despair

He had the voice of an angel
And the face of a saint
And though they fell behind him
I knew what it was he meant
His eyes where full of demons
As he made his message clear
He strode the world like Caeser
With a trident held as fear

It's just how it's always been
One man with a ruling dream
And everyone falls for him
Heroines in an ancient film
It's just how it's always been
One man with a ruling dream
And everyone falls for him
Heroines in an ancient film
Called the flame of the west

Look out for that stranger
If you pass him on your way
He never sees a danger
In the darkening of the day
There will be dollars in his hand
He has all hell to pay
And he will pass them to you
If you promise you will stay

Good call on Big Country, one of my all time favourite bands both on record and live.
I remember them at the Outlaw's Rock and Blues show many years back. They started playing with about 20 people dancing in front of the stage, by the end of the set everyone was going crazy. Fantastic.

After reading in that article that Kirsten, his daughter, was also a musician now, I had a look at her covering her dads songs
And, what beautiful covers they are!!!
