Fisk series 3. There's always a worry with subsequent series that the quality will dilute but the first episode is promising.

Promising. I enjoyed the first two series as light easy watching. Similar with Loudermilk, although that no longer appears to be available.

Yes - we tend to watch that

it is pretty good and shows a reasonably realistic view of what really happens

or so I assume - never done it myself

so far anyway!!!

It's fascinating.

The thing I dislike is when the crims just 'No comment' everything in the interview, they normally still get sent down but we learn very little from them.

That's why the one with the lodger that is suspected of killing the old lady is so good, he just opens up and talks. The rapist one I mentioned just no comments everything, the only insight we get is the footage of the 1000s of videos hes taken of his crimes.

They do that on the advice of their solicitor.

They think theyre being cleaver, but theyre not.

Often a simple and clear denial will end it then and there, but no comment maintains doubt and possibility of a guilty plea at court, and the solicitor gets paid again if it gets to court...

I know someone who was arrested for "something bad"
turned out that it was a case of stolen id and the person they wanted was miles away

He was advised to go "no comment" but ignored it and helped them all he could to sort it out
he even stayed in the station after they said he could go in order to be available if they needed more info

I picked him up from the station when he left and the Police actually thanked him for all his help

I don't normally go for true crime gubbins like this as it's usually mind numbingly tedious and not particularly shocking, but I found this one interesting on a number of levels.

If you know the story you're not going to get anything from it, but if you don't I'd recommend it.

You tell that Netflix were thinking about chopping it up into 3 parts but wisely resisted, realising (I suspect) that folk would just Google what happened after the first episode and not bother with the others.

Alien: Earth

Episode 5 and we see what happened on the ship before the crash. Morrow (Babou Ceesay) is absolutely amazing in the episode, judge for yourself whether he is a 'good' or a 'bad' guy. Also Michael Smily gets a bigger part in this episode.
