Recently enjoyed watching the BBC 2006 Jane Eyre with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens, currently on i-player.

Finished all 3 series of Mr Inbetween. Brilliantly acted, superbly judged pace, wonderful scripts. A shame there'll be no season 4 but the ending was perfect.

Watched episodes 3 and 4 of The Battle between Land and Sea.

Deary me, it's utter pap.

The Abandoneds - 6/10

Considering the cast and the writer this should have been a lot better, but the constant earnest moralising made it hard to enjoy.

The ending really grated too, and considering series love or die by ratings, at this point it seems unlikely the story will be properly concluded.

If you want a more entertaining Western series, watch Deadwood instead. If nothing else you'll be able to get absolutely hammered within about 20 minutes if you play the Deadwood Drinking Game.
