The Promise (French series Original title: La promesse) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12404772
Series I recorded on Freeview back in the days when BBC4 was a genuine channel rather than just a repeats of old (free) programs.

Only watched 1st two episodes so far but very engaging and will definately be watching the rest of the series.

It was one of those series which were broadcast two episodes at a time (immediately following each other) though I'm finding one in an evening is enough.

Pluribus (or Plur1bus) is a thoroughly recommended watch. Nice balance of humour and cool questions. By the same guy that wrote Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul etc (but don't hold that against it ;)) but is like neither. This is its own show, aside setting similarities, and much the better for it... imho.

I've just discovered the Danny Baker series set in the seventies, Cradle to the Grave.

A funny show made even funnier by Peter Kay impersonating Dick Van Dyke impersonating a cockney, cor blimey!

Will be watching the All Creatures Great & Small special at 21:00

The behind the scenes programme was good too. You really don’t know just how much goes in to it.

The usual Christmas repeats

Digby the Biggest Dog in the World, a Moore era Bond film, and a "network premier" film that was on Sky Movies 16 years ago?

working through land man series 1 and its pretty good if you like anything by taylor sheridan aka yellowstone, tulsa king .

Mayor of Kingstown also very good.

1883 is excellent. A slightly different approach for a Sheridan drama but compelling viewing all the same. Sam Elliott absolutely smashes it.

Tulsa King went a bit downhill in Season 3 IMHO.

Tristans girlfriend is Emma (Nanny McPhee) Thompsons daughter

I'm not sure if I feel cheated that Siegfried didn't get together with Mrs Hall, & she seemed to look disappointed, in 'The Drovers', but the actress playing Dorothy is rather gorgeous
