I got 20 minutes into the 1st episode of the 2nd series of Your Friends and Neighbours when I stopped. It was god awful. I remember quite liking series 1, nothing stellar but a good watch.

We've just watched season 1 and quite enjoyed it. Mat try season 2 and see if we agree with you.

I thought I'd give Deadlock a try on Prime. A well reviewed comedy drama. I was picturing a Simon Pegg Hot Fuzz style series. Nope.
They got the balance and tone wrong imo. Too serious a storyline for the comedy, and the comedy interrupts the storyline. Overacted too.

The Walking Dead, from the beginning.

There are bits I remember and bits I don't, and it's held up pretty well overall I think.

I think I gave up after series 6, or whichever the Neagan one was, because it has just become too repetitive at that point. I'm not entirely surprised to see that there are loads of spin-offs, which I doubt I'll bother with, other than Darryl maybe because he's awesome.

I'd be interested to see what you think. For me, it was like they've taken a couple of the successful elements of series 1, aware of their appeal, and turned up the dial on them. It came across to me as self-satisfied and smug - and unbearable to watch.

I loved it until about season 5 or 6. After 7 it did get boring, but I was late to the party so I felt I had to watch all of the rest just for completion. I understand why they did it though. In a lawless society there's going to be people who want to control everything, and the Walkers seem to blend into the background.

I also started Fear the Walking Dead which I thought was brilliant - I only got about 2 seasons in though because at the time I don't think I had the platform to view it for free. Lennie James is also in it. But Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Colman Domingo and Alycia Debnam-Carey were all really strong characters.

Just watched the final episode of season 2 of Paradise. The show itself is a good watch, nothing special but heaps better than most other stuff around. The plot can get a bit ropey, you do have to give it some leeway on odd occasions but there's more than enough intrigue and general interest to keep you tagging along. The final episode was kinda rushed presumably to set it up for season 3.

US tv can get like that, with the writers not knowing until late in the day as to whether there's going to be another season (depends on funding) so they probably have to sketch several different endings to cover possibilities. Makes for weird season finales sometimes.

I started watching Michael Jackson: An American tragedy on BBC iplayer last night. Ep1 leads up to him starting to become weird, people noticing and questioning his colour change plus copious facial reorganisation operations. About to delve into Ep2 of 3.

Same as yesterday. Judgement Day on Youtube.
The Snooker epic.

2026 got off to a good start last night, lots of stereotypes having the p*ss taken out of them.

I particularly enjoyed the "Power of Poop" campaign sprung on the gormless Sustainability VP.
Oh that confused me for a while. I was thinking - it's April already...

Yes the show 2026 - about the F*** World Cup. Loving it - I might have to go back and watch Twenty Twelve again after this.

I watched a 2011 show of Pam Ayres today. I think she has been in show business 49 years this year. She was still very fresh and funny.
