Punisher - One Last Battle

Struggle to see the point in this, other than relaunching another character the MCU refuses to let die. Learned nothing new about the character, and while it was entertaining enough it was basically "Righto, we're bringing Frank Castle back, off we go."

That's why I decided some time ago to only watch DC instead of Marvel. Yes, there's a lot less content, but Marvel lost the plot a long time ago, and is now just churning out reboots, sequels, collaborations, etc. ad nauseum.

I don't generally bother with superhero gubbins, but I have quite enjoyed the New York based series' they've done.

Part of the problem I have is that people seem to just come back on a whim, I see Daredevil is back, again, for example. The timelines get all confusing I think, unless you're really into them.

I do plan on watching Penguin, but that's mainly for Joaquin Phoenix, who I really rate.

Joker maybe ? The Penguin series was excellent and almost no reference to Batman etc as far as I remember.

Ah, yes, I got confused. It's Colin Farrell who's Penguin, who I also really rate.

The Joker films are both unreal in different ways. The first one is my favourite, but Folie a Deux is also brilliant (and unfairly maligned).

Second series of Death Valley is on iPlayer. Tim Spall and an all Welsh cast including a few from Gavin and Stacey. It's on Sunday nights but all episodes are on iPlayer. Enjoyable funny crime drama....I thought so anyway🙂

Just finished Margot's got money troubles on Apple. No guns, police or car chases. Just a great cast (Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nic Offerman) and a decent, if non PG, yarn. No pretence that they're trying to end it with a series 2 in mind either.

Myself and Mrs W are big fans binge watched it, however as she fell asleep during several episodes I will be watching it again.😏

Still Game on BBC iPlayer. It's that funny even my missus laughs at it. Now that's saying something. However, we've had to put subtitles on otherwise she can't understand a word they're saying. Apparently it's massively popular in Scotland and why not, eh? It's not often you have a good belly laugh at the Tele these days but this really hits the chuckle button.
