This is for wine drinkers.

1) what type of wine do you drink (red or white)?

2) brand or name?

3) what shop do you get it from?

4) and price?

5) any recommendation on any red wine I should look out for?

I drink red wine called Shiraz from the Co Op at £5.95 it's pretty nice, very smooth on the tongue, has a rich smell. But goes down well.

A nice Bordeaux, no particular brand, I just wait until all th tenner and over bottles are on half price offer in Tesco, then stock up.

Only other type would be Chateaux-Neuf-Du-Pape. As above for purchasing guidelines.

Chilean reds do tend to have a consistant quality. If you want to spend a little more then there are some very good Lebanese wines available now, The Bekaa Valley has just the right conditions for wine apparently now the locals have stopped trying to kill each other.

I like a good Rioja.

Usually a 1/2 price supermarket wine is all its money at 1/2 price.

If you are buying by the case then something like the times wine club is as good as any, otherwise independent merchants with their own buyers.

Remember a £30 bottle of wine as the same overheads (shipping/ bottling etc) as a £5 bottle, so the wine in a £5 bottle might be worth 50p whilst in a £8 bottle £3.50. Worth spending that bit extra

I couldn't care less if it's a poll or not, what worries me is what is going to happen to all the data soupboy compiles from our responses. Will it remain within the UK or be sold to some foreign plonk merchants? We need to know.

Wine drinkers don't know what makes a good wine. They have been blind tested multiple times and they rarely pick the same thing.
