This has been discussed before, but there's no harm in going over it again.

This is the newest I've come across (from the previous discussion here)
Ed Pratt, around the world on a unicycle (and a newer adventure)

Probably the least ego driven set of videos and definitely the most atmospheric, if a little extreme for some of us

Personally, I prefer the written word. To my mind producing a video becomes the focus of a bike tour for a lot and therefore the video is more a result of "a trip to make a video" as opposed to a "bike trip".
Just recording a video to the standards presented must take up a decent proportion of cycling time each day. Not to mention reviewing and editing. And what specific gear in terms if computers/batteries need to be brought? The act of recording a bike tour actually changes the bike tour.
Bicycle Touring Pro does my head in, his story notwithstanding. It's too damn perfect. And it's too commercial.

CrazyGuyOnABike is the place for long form journals. There's even a few that consist of mainly videos!

Montanus are two Italian guys that have made some absolutely sublime films, their not on youtube, but their films are on vimeo:

This quote from Hobbes probably does sum up the Montanus videos, but I do still love to watch them.
