Whats the best bar tape?

I got some cheap brown bar tape on eBay. I thought it'd be an alternative to the leather-effect stuff I used before which looked great but fell apart rather quickly.

After a few weeks of use it had faded to a colour resembling baby shite. Don't get that stuff.

That came on my bike from the shop. Quite nice and grippy.

I've tried bar phat but didn't like the way it changed the bar shape. I now use Bontrager gel (it has a gel strip in the middle) which I find excellent. About £12/13. Think it only comes in black though.

Unlike most I don't like cushioned bar tape. I prefer something nice and thin wrapped tightly round the bars so I can feel the cables underneath. The cheap plastic tape would be ideal except that it's too slippery when it gets wet.
