Somewhere in the garage I have a 'special chuck' which I bought at a car show in the 80's. It's designed to go into a regular electric drill to hold the head of a woodscrew. This was, of course, before the days of 'torque limiting adjustment' or variable speed on electric drill. Such features probably became common a year after I bought this gadget. Needless to say I've never used it, and probably never will.

An old pair of 58 pattern British army combat trousers. Had them years, in good condition but worn very very rarely as they are double lined. Excellent quality though.

I have various bolts and other bike parts including bits of chain, some going back to when I started cycling in 1981. I also have Campag headset, pedal and cone spanner’s. The only time they come out of the tool box is to move them to find something else.

90% of the stuff i keep hold of is utterly useless... but it might come in handy one day.

Amen. Need a big clear out of my garage, which has started. Then need my son's car stuff out, then anything that's not been used in a long while is going. I need room for a bike hanging rail and another bike !

Then there is of course me. But MrsF 'might' miss me.
