Disgruntled Goat, do you notice that both of the bikes you posted were built by Mike Burrows?

EDIT: Sorry TheDoctor, I hadn't spotted yours was a quote!

Does the Pashley Guv'nor count? A lovely looking bike.
Looks like the one your chimp is riding in your avatar....
Only get this if your name is Tarquin and you live in Chelsea, in mummy's "other" flat, for when she meets up with the brigadier.

The coincidence is entirely manufactured on my part. I don't know why but MB get's my goat (pardon the pun) probaly due to his extravagant claims for his Lotus bike (so much so that numptys were led to believe that the bike won the Olympic Pursuit rather than the guy on it) and his relationship with Obree (Obree doesn't think much of him either).

Is it the flared drops? People seem to love or hate those (from an aesthetic point of view) with little in between...

Yes it is just that really. Drags the whole look of the bike down to me.

Mind you, I think that some of the old steel bikes may not photograph too well.
A guy at work has recently built up a very old Colnago as a Winter bike. I'm sure that in a photo it wouldn't look particularly exciting but in the flesh it is, in my opinion anyway, stunning
Not sure why though, its just got a sort of elegant simplicity to it I suppose.
