Topped our domestic oil tank up yesterday at £1.15 per litre.

Was only 58p per litre back in February! Almost exactly half the price it is today!

A question: if I achieve 68 mpg in my diesel car @ 198.9 ppl and a friend gets 49 mpg in their petrol vehicle @172.9 ppl,
who's spending more on fuel? ⛽

Whichever of you drives more, unless it is very close, when it will be your friend.

And what would be the'sweet spot' where we'd be equal?

Do you mean at what price difference (assuming equal distances driven), or what would your respective mileages have to be for the cost to balance?

It was actually quiet there on my way home from work thus lunchtime so I filled up.
Normally when it's 10p cheaper than other places it gets hectic with people waiting, and half blocking, the A43!
