If you upgrade your shower in future ...you "may" need a larger supply cable ( 6mm or 9mm2)
Depending on the voltage supply of the new unit
Also length of cable run can have an impact on voltage drop ( all be it very small ) the new shower will have minimum size supply cable rated on the back of box
Nothings ever straight frd is it ( sorry)

The voltage supply will always be the same for whatever shower you fit…230V (+10%/-6%). The current that it draws however…! Minimum cross sectional area of the supply cable will be dependent on a number of factors!

Maybe I should have said WATTS then ...I'm not a sparky but upgraded my unit to more powerful and had too run new bigger 9mm cable

Well done for noticing anyway
Hope the O/P realised what I "meant"
