The Prisoner (original series, not daft remake!). Everytime I watch them I find more questions and less answers... No better way to spend a rainy day!

Fantastic acting from Hugh Laurie, great plots for he episodes and the longer running plots between the regular cast. Possibly the best series on TV.

Next favourite is Only Fools And Horses. Do I need to justify that choice?

The West Wing. Gob-smacking scripts, fantastic acting, flawless direction. I've loved lots of 'quality' US drama over the years, from six feet under to Dexter, but The West Wing is, for me, unequalled.

Band Of Brothers is brilliant but Sopranos is far better. It's simply the best TV I have ever seen.
