Was going through the website and route in general.

Would have been the perfect Scotland tour, if only they included Isle Of Sky and John O’ Groats in the route. Pity, we can’t have it all.
Can you sneak in 100 miles and get back on track or, is that a straight disqualification?

Also, I haven't studied this specfici event, but the chances are that if you just get to the two relevant controls, no-one is checking your intermediate route. You could also - with its own risks! - have a quiet word with the organiser beforehand.

Yes, I'm pretty confident it's the longest (unless something epic was run many years ago). I did the Dutch 2200 in 2024, and there are quite a few others in that range "over there", but the longest UK I know of is this one:
