Well 3 days off work, and its weekend

My DIY jobs list some how gets bigger the more I tick off
So this weekend,
I will finally finish the decorating in the hall, stairs and landing (only took me 3 months:rolleyes:)

I have lost the argument that the bike belongs in the dinning room, classing it as a piece of art and it should be on display did not work.so almost finished tidying the shed out:sad:

BBQ on Sunday,

And a few cheeky rides on the bike (I will use the excuse I have to wait for the paint to dry;))

Brandane

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Not a bank holiday in the privileged land to the north of the border.

Working Sat/Sun/Mon; as usual...........

cycling,
putting up new tent for first time,
over to see both sets of parents (with any luck having cycled there so we can beat a hasty retreat...)
generally avoiding life...

Oh - reassembling the touring bikes and getting them out of the sitting room because we have LEJOGers staying on Tuesday night via warmshowers...

Since coming back from holiday in Cyprus i have got the carn't be bothered about anything syndrome.I feel as flat as a pancake and listless.

Riding a 55 miler on my new bike from Wallsend to Whalton to Seaton Delaval to Tynemouth then back to Wallsend on Sunday. I will be taking my time getting used to the SPD pedals. On Monday taking my bike back to shop cos I dont think the gears are set up correctly (heavy chain chatter on two smallest cogs at the back while being on the large cog at the front.

Tidying the garage, bit of a mess since decorating the house.

Fixing a puncture, giving the bikes a clean.

Going to Kiddicare for a few extra bits for our arrival.

Spending £150 go outdoor voucher which I got from my previous employer.

Cleaning the car.

BBQ.

Not necessarily in that order!

The dog and I are going to my family in Salisbury. It's my nephew's birthday on Monday - plus it's the Salisbury Festival.

Try to get on one of the tours of the cathedral spire and roof, it's fascinating and inspiring. If you're into classical or choral music there's a good chance you'll hear my 83 year-old Mum warbling away as she's in three Salisbury choirs. And if you end up in the hospital and have a bad experience you can complain to my sister, who might be the nurse, or my B.I.L. who is the hospital Chief Exec.

That's Cyprus for you - boring as hell.

Having a go at making my own energy bars on Saturday

I'd be interested in knowing how you get on as I'd like to try this. Have sent a PM to Fab Foodie asking is he's got a recipe but he must be on holiday.

You don't need to take it to a shop for that!

Either the chain is contacting the front derailleur cage or the rear derailleur needs adjusting slightly.

For A, try unscrewing the small limit screw, which restricts the outward movement of the front derailleur cage. Half to a full turn ought to do it.

For B, possibly the cable has stretched a little; try unscrewing the adjuster on the rear derailleur. Also if you haven't fitted a new cable outer at the rear derailleur in the last six months, do this first as a mucky or rusty cable and outer will not be helping your gear changing.

I would love some recipes if you have any. Trying to work out a decent binding agent. Not too stodgy and not too sticky. I've been using condensed milk and also golden syrup. Would be easier to buy some but where's the fun in that. Plus the kids love helping!
