I am planning to use maltodextrin powder, which is incredibly sticky. It's the main ingredient in packet soups, convalescent drinks and all kinds of sports drinks as it's pure carbohydrate. However I'm not sure how much I can mix with the solid ingredients, how to mix it and what else to use with it like fructose, golden syrup or anything else. My energy bars will contain some extras like glacé cherries and raisins or chocolate chips for variety.

Off to see a mate in Derby Saturday on the bike, 60 miles there, other half picking me up later as we will have been on the wobble most of the afternoon. Sunday planned an 100 miler from brum down through Stratford upon avon then down trough the Cotswolds - Shipston, Chipping Campden, Broadway then back through Evesham then up to Bidford, Stratford then back into Solihull, on the wobble again Saturday night in town. No cycling Monday out for pub lunch with friends then Dinner in the evening with the outlaws. So not much really.

... Or I could just say bollocks to it all and just sit with dozen bottles of hobgoblin, a bottle of black label, a bottle of blue nun for the little lady and not move all weekend and trawl my way through the Breaking Bad box sets I keep meaning to get around to watching...

Saturday - I'm doing voluntary work. Hot meals for homeless in Leicester city centre, called Saturday Stop-by, a project of The Islamic Society of Britain. We provide hot meals plus recreational activities (pool, table tennis, chess etc) for homeless and destitute people in the city.
Sunday - Leicester SkyRide - might pop along to that. Then 5-a-side in the pm.
Monday...not sure. Might go fishing or something.

Maz - make sure you don't scoff all the samosas, going for a ride the next day is not a good excuse.

I didn't exactly plan on it but I'm working Saturday and Monday.
If it stays nice on Sunday we might venture out , and I'll no doubt get a ride in somewhere.

Usual weekend and work on Monday. We get an extra dress-down day on Monday though. Whoopie-doo

Still, I have a flexi day off booked for next Friday!
