The last day of Christmas is the Sunday after the Epiphany except when the Epiphany is celebrated on 7th or 8th January, as is the case this year in which case the last day of Christmas falls on the Monday after the Epiphany. So in answer to the original question, the Christmas decorations come down on 9th January this year.

We took our stuff down yesterday, as we started back at work today, so it was a good chance to stow the stuff away yesterday and do a bit of cleaning and dusting. The living room looks a bit bare now...

Just as well that we did take the outside stuff down yesterday, or it would have been blown away today! By eck it didn't half blow this morning!
