Hi.
I know it's a little of a strange title but all will make sense in a minute.
I've just got back from a bike ride only to be told by the neighbour that his guinea pig has been stolen. As you can imagine his kids are not to happy as they are a family pet to them..After having a look around my back garden there evidence that thieves have managed to climb my 10 foot high stone retaining wall to gain access to my garden and then crossed over to the neighbours. Only Just last week I was a little suspicious that someone had tried to get into my garden as a few things looked like they had been disturbed but I just put it down to it being a windy night. Obviously its not nice knowing that you may have someone snooping around your property and was now thinking of placing some barbed wire on top of my 10ft wall to discourage them. I'm not talking about the big curly wire that you see in war films , but just a couple of lengths running across the top.
The big question is though , would I be breaking the law doing this. With the compensation culture of our society, could I be held liable if someone injured themselves on it. Usually the only thing that happens around here, is the odd gate swapping on a Saturday night by some half cut youngsters on the way home from the pub but lately there seems to be an increase in pretty crime ..
