Wow, impressed with your knowledge of London taverns !
I am thinking of doing teh LCC Summer Ride (from Jubilee Gardens to Greenwich) at the end of the month, details here LCC Summer Ride
Where would you recommend stopping off for a good pint and bite to eat ?
That's an 11am start - you'll probably be near Greenwich by lunchtime (unless your lunchtime starts at 11). There are a few riverside pubs on the way but the very best beer pub en route is the Dog and Bell pub in Deptford, Prince Street. It's on the NCR route, serves a selection of well-cared for cask ales without the usual London surcharge, and is pretty bike friendly. Greenwich and Lewisham Cyclists use it for meetings so one of the ride leaders is certain to know where it is. It's not really a food pub though. At the end of the ride there's always the Greenwich Union, Royal Hill - local micro-brewery (Meantime Beers, I think they're called) that does decent food and good beers - though I reckon their bottled beers are better than their draughts. Their beers are brewed at the Old Brewery, which is on the grounds of the Old Naval College. They do beer and food and it's generally had good reports.
