Hi All,

Was hoping for some bike advice. After the success of JOGLE last summer, myself and two friends are working on a new plan to cycle back from ancient Olympia to London for 2012 Olympics...that's the plan anyhow.

The tour will be around 25 days and fairly light - camping but with very light tents and being summer, not too much kit. Also not anticipating carrying large amounts of food as we'll be near civilisation!

I could do with a bike to act as a winter road bike, capable of some light towpath work etc., as well as coping with a rear pannier rack.

I already have a Boardman Road Bike (which is fantastic), so was looking at the Boardman CX bikes as the website says they're "fully mudguard and rack compatible" - would probably go for the 2011 CX Comp:

Also been looking at the Revolution Country Explorer:

If the Boardman will be up to it that'd be my first choice but wanted to see what people think here. Budget is £800 max - remember I'm only a poor A level student

Thanks in advance

Matt
