So who still warms the pot with boiling water and then chucks it away before adding the tea, and fresh water?

And do you have a dog called Timmy?
No my dogs called cloud, but of course I warm the pot, I guess because my mum and nan used to

Anybody any ideas on why it would be bad to wrap your food in aluminium foil and put it in the fridge? All I can think of is it's the same as leaving half a can full of something in there. The metal oxidises and leeches into the food. But would foil oxidise/rust in the same way as a tin can? Forgive me if I appear ignorant.

Milk in first is fine when using a teapot, but if brewing the bag in the cup then it does lead to weak tea. I've never done it.

Have put tinfoil in the fridge before, I think it was a craze a few years ago to fear that tin foil will go rusty and turn the wrapped contents into carcinogenic material.

Leaving stuff in the sink is lazy, but it does protect your pans better. Trying to scrub them whilst the dried on food is still on there will take the finish off.

In answer to your question though, the last one is worse according to my wife. I'm not allowed to leave anything in the sink else I get shouted at. And she doesn't even use it......

I normally do a the washing up and if there's a tray/ pan with bonded on food just leave that to soak last in the bowl.

The wife likes to put a sqidge of Fairy Liquid in frying pans/ roasing trays and leave them in the sink, this makes it impossible to wash anything up (always do cups first and greasy stuff last). Bloody annoying imho but she won't be told!.

If (and this is a fairly big if) I remember correctly, aluminum foil is ALREADY corroded (else it would react so fast with oxygen it can catch fire) and it's mainly a problem if you leave it in direct contact with something acidic or salty that can strip the corrosion and cause further corrosion. No one really wants aluminum salts deposited on their food.
