If (and this is a fairly big if) I remember correctly, aluminum foil is ALREADY corroded (else it would react so fast with oxygen it can catch fire) and it's mainly a problem if you leave it in direct contact with something acidic or salty that can strip the corrosion and cause further corrosion. No one really wants aluminum salts deposited on their food.Anybody any ideas on why it would be bad to wrap your food in aluminium foil and put it in the fridge? All I can think of is it's the same as leaving half a can full of something in there. The metal oxidises and leeches into the food. But would foil oxidise/rust in the same way as a tin can? Forgive me if I appear ignorant.
