Crumpler still make excellent messenger bags. It's worth checking them in
eBay.
What was the name of that Eastern European bloke who used to make them to order off his website? They were good bags.
Sounds like Bagaboo, Mr Paul, at least in its initial days. I bought one of their tool pouches, which was excellent.
I've never had a Crumpler bike bag, but I did own a couple of camera bags - both were excellent, and the one I still have (sold the other) will probably outlast me.
I have a Timbuk2 medium messenger (a collabo with Howies, but I understand that other than the fabric, it's just a medium messenger).
As I said in the last post about them;
"They're very tough, and well made. Remember that the back is unpadded, so you'll need to pack carefully (something big and flat against your back, ideally). I found mine shifted a lot when I was riding in the drops, but if you don't do that a lot, that may not be an issue. There's also not a huge amount of internal organisation. I use mine more off the bike now, but it's a purchase I don't regret.
