I have both. Both work fine.

I marginally prefer the Campag but as you say it's just a personal thing. Again personally I'd have Campag on an Italian bike but in any case you get FSA cranks (which I also have and don't particularly like) and the Campag kit you do get is black, which again I don't really like.

But anyway, both work fine.

thanks bc

The veloce is winning at the moment. My only issue is having to buy it from Winstanleys, having read some of the reviews

This isn't about which model is better as the frame is the same....it's a Campag v Shimano question.

The only way you can know is to try them out for yourself.

Sorry to go off point completely but in comparison to specialized would this nirone 7 be like a allez/tarmac or a Roubix i.e. is it a fast bike built for pure speed or again a fast bike but with more comfortable set up for like longer distance rides?

I have two Bianchi bikes. Both are Campag equipped. 'Nuff sed.

Or as Uncle Albert puts it...

My point is that the thread title is misleading and we have a thousand threads on the real subject.

Why is it misleading? I'm just asking about these two specific bikes...

Its not about what is better between Campag and Shinamos, as i'm not going into detailed questions about 105's, Ultegras, Sora, Veloce, Migrage etc
