Hi all,
I have recently purchased a cyclocross bike, planning to do a 11 mile each way commute.
I have been out to reckie the cycle paths, and have found that the route covers
6 miles of cycle path tarmac
3 miles of road
2 miles gravel and dirt track.
Initially (prior to finding out about the rough gravel terrain) I swapped the Continental Speed King 700c x35 for Continental Sport Contact 700c x 32c
The change on the road was significant and I love them on the road. But then I came accross the 'off road stuff' to be honest, I dont feel confident in them in fact I have already had a minor off due to lack of grip.
So, does anybody have any advice as to what would be an ideal compromise. That is why a purchased the cyclocross in the first place, COMPROMISE
