Being in the music biz all my working life I have met far too many to mention. So here's a few.
Kurt Cobain.
Spent a couple hours in his company in the Astoria green room. Lovely lovely bloke. Loved making and playing music for people. That's all he ever wanted to do.
Lee Perry.
Worked with him for a few years. He likes to potray that he's some sort of mystic shaman know it all. He's not, it's all a charade, a front. A sharp as knife but an idiot with it.
Mark E Smith.
Like all addicts, one minute he's nice as pie, the next he's a complete nightmare. More nightmare then nice. Had to spend a weekend with him in Paris doing promotion work. In the end I could take no more of his boorish, rude behaviour so left him to fend for himself. His wife at the time Brix Smith couldn't have been more lovlier, what the hell she saw in him I never know.
John Peel.
Nice unassuming bloke, very easy to talk to, always had a lot of interesting things to say and had time for anyone who wanted to talk to him. One of those people who had a natural aura about him.
Jaz Coleman and Raven of Killing Joke.
Jaz is a complete wacko. A nice guy but what you see is what you get. No airs and graces about him. Has a lot to say. most of it completely bonkers. Raven, lovely bloke. Liked nothing more then sitting in my office (with his dog) having a natter and a cup of tea.
Ron Wood. Still do bit's of work for him. Nice down to earth bloke. Pity all his sycophants, mindes and hangers on are all dickheads.
Sharon Osbourne.
Very smart lady. Fun, funny and friendly with it. Showed everyone in our office her 'new tits' when she had them done.
Jah Wobble.
A good friend even though he is Spurs season ticket holder. This man never stops working making music. Has got a lot to say and can bend ones ear for a couple of hours easy on the telephone. Doesn't suffer fools gladly. He hates John Lydon.
Tinie Tempah.
Another good friend and love him to bits. We worked with him before he hit the big time. He bought me a bottle of JD for Christmas pressie last year.(though I did say to him, that with his amount of dosh he's getting I was expecting a crate).

Steve Cropper and Matt Murphy of Booker T & The MG's/Blues Brothers Band.
Shared a dinner table with these guys at an industry shindig. They had some hilarious stories. I was in total awe as was everyone.
Snowy White
ex Thin Lizzy/Solo/Roger Waters Band.
What a lovely down to earth chap. We handle his current solo material. Dislikes talking about his Thin Lizzy period, which is a shame and he's suprised when anyone says they like it. (Chinatown is my fave album). Last year I went to see the Wall concert in Hamburg. Not only did he get us a couple of the best seats in the house, we also had all access passes and he gave us a personal tour of the stage & backstage. Then invited us to the bands aftershow party. (but we were not allowed to talk to Roger Waters).
