It was the male passenger doing all the shouting and swearing, the driver was a woman.

No, the driver was a tall well-built chap who thought if he stood with his chest puffed out it would intimidate me and my friend. It didnae work

They kiss...

I'm afraid not, he didn't even seem to appreciate the kiss I blew him as they drove off  after I pointed out that the driver may need some form of medical intervention if he was to make a habit of pretending to phone the police and speaking to an imaginary person. Either that or I would tell the Police when they arrived who it was that was wasting their time...

...anyway, they eventually left. We were parked in front of them waiting patiently for the Police to arrive  so they had to reverse (and on such a dangerous stretch of road as well!!:biggrin:) and drove off slowly past us.

My friend has sent a lovely note of complaint to the Council's Access line detailing the events and asking to be kept informed of any actions taken.

So nobody actually won, they just wasted everybody's time.

I'd like to think I won

I won the 'who knows best' award.
I won the most swearing award.
I won the best put-downs award.
I won photographer of the day award.
I won the sitting in front of the car award.
I won the pointing out they'd better get a move-on if they were in a hurry award.
I won the 'not being bullied by little pricks' award.

There's probably many more awards I won as well but I'll content myself with those for the time being.

Also the most disappointing outcome award. I was expecting a scrap at the very least Noodley;)

I think they wanted to but realised we were more than a match for them

Tsk tsk, imagine cyclists 'fighting back'

Noodley, i would sit here and type abuse to you for wasting my valuble time, that could have been spent doing other more important things.
But because i love you so much, i wont.
But, you did make us wait for a ratehr dull ending. You could have at least hit his van or something. Or just lied.

fair do's, but despite having a golden opportunity you did not win the 'rough sex with council employee' award. Please don't let us down again.

Brilliant thread - it's been a real joy to read. Thankyou.

One tries one's best.

And I may have further anecdotes to report, for today (Friday 3 July) I have a meeting with their manager to discuss their behaviour :girl:
