What this is? Only true, cool cyclists should know what this is called. I didnt know at first, i got told about it, but had to search on google.

they are used to stop stabilisers on kids' bikes from slipping. the left hand side goes on the axle, and the other side looks like it bolts on, although i've seen variants where it just butts against the chainstay.

That looks almost identical to the bit of metal on my dads old touring bike for holding a spare wheel. NFI what it's called though
