I was introduced to this practice when I moved in with Mr Weenie several years ago. I'd always thought it was perfectly normal for people in love to be comfortable walking around naked in each others' presence but when it came up in a conversation with a friend she was horrified.

Having said that, I do wish he'd stop opening curtains without telling me!

It's not a pre-requisite to be in love or be 'partners' to follow this practice. I have two trainees aged 6 and 9. We aren't ashamed of our bodies. It would appear that not all families follow (birthday) suit though.
