Congratulations! Change I good. What are the washing and locking facilities like?

Apparently it can sit in the stores.... a few metres from my desk.... out of my sight though so will lock it up to racking. No showers so will do what I do here, quick wash and change in washroom

Well done. 10 miles each way is the ideal cycle commute - time and distance wise.
Tried it in the sunshine on Sunday... checked possible routes on Strava 10 miles is the obvious route... found a 7 mile route... but the road was more of a cart track with grass up the middle, really rough ..... won't be doing that one again unless I add a mountain bike to the stable........ and if I did that (as I've got the okay for the carbon roadie), I'd be single...... but every possible route is pretty much entirely unlit country lanes

Before a cyclo cross bike is suggested as good road/off road compromise... I've promised myself a full on Road race geometry bike:hyper:....(entry level of course and no I don't actually NEED one just WANT one) and a cyclo cross just won't cut it for me..... I'd be scratching N+1 itch again in a year or so

My cross bike is as fast as my road bike but loses out in comfort on longer rides, I know you have said you want a road race geometry bike but a crosser sounds the ideal solution for your commute and much more versatile than a pure road machine.
