Good effort, but in truth that's just a bodge. Nothing old, dirty or disgraceful about it. The lack of contenders is striking. It's almost like people know when they're on a hiding to nothing.

(OK, it's not mine, and it doesn't look as if it works, but I have played in some utterly filthy organ lofts.

The OP needs one of these washable ones, bought one a few years ago, you don't even need to wash it, because of the design it is easy to clean with a soft brush .
