Who's still in shorts ?

Went out today and instantly regretted wearing my base Layer under my bib shorts.
First climb and I was overheating big time which made me so uncomfortable.
Weather been crap lately but still pretty mild I reckon.

Saw two bods in shorts today but it was about 11 degrees in Norwich and I think they were Scotch.

Done one in tights and thought it was excessive! Think gloves are always the things that make me overheat. The cold snap has definitely not hit yet!

Not with my dodgy knees...and the cooler weather

Probably be ok in 3/4 or knee warmers, rather than anything roubaix

Went out once in longs, back in shorts now. Longs don't come out til it's under 5 degrees

Shorts are put away till spring now. I would rather feel slightly too warm than cold.

Yep, shorts today for 48 mainly 'off road' miles. I started out with a thin long sleeved top, T shirt and jacket but after 5 miles I took the long sleeve off and shoved it in my backpack.
I did have a thin windproof skullcap under my helmet though to keep my brain warm.

I'm in shorts just now, I'm also on the sofa having just done an indoor workout; I value my knees too much to wear shorts outside at this time of year

I value mine too but it's deffo not cold enough to do any knee damage yet surely

Seems like a good rule of thumb that one. Well over 12° today
