Agree with jonny jeez, 5c tends to be the tipping point for me, a touch higher if it's raining.

Yep, shorts on this week.

With knee-length compression socks. Oh, and the waterproof trousers over the top.

This, combined with the merino base layer under the shirt, topped by a thin fleecy lined jacket, has had me sweating like David Cameron at a pig butcher's.

If I knew it wasn't going to rain, then yes, dammit, I'd be in shorts. But with long socks and armwarmers.

(Have to sew the seam of the shorts at the front, actually, there's a bit of a hole where the thread has come away and I don't want people thinking I'm smuggling Tufty into work).

As far as I know, BC academy advice (as well as most pro teams) is to ride in longs until the temperature goes above around 15-18 deg. No idea why anyone would want to ride with bare legs/arms in this weather, or at this time of year...

Previous years gone by iv been in longs since beginning of Nov. Just seems so mild at the moment and I feel too restricted once I get too warm, which tends to slow me down quite a bit. .......not saying that I'm a quick rider by any means

Arm warmers, knee warmers, leg warmers, gilet, bib longs, etc - you need more kit choices.. ;)

Seriously 15-18 degrees? Is that fahrenheit?
