I must admit that there were a few conversations that I found frustrating in the past when I wasn't single! 
She: Do you think I look nice in this dress?
Me: Yes.
She: What do you like about it?
Me: You look very nice in it.
She: In what way do I look nice in it?
Me: Eh? Well, er, it ... suits you!
She: How does it suit me?
Me: It fits you well.
She: But you don't like the material?
Me: The material is okay.
She: What about the design?
Me: I am interested in the design of electronic equipment and bicycles, but I don't care about the design of dresses.
She: So, you don't like the design?
Me: It is okay, but I don't care about it. It doesn't bother me one way or the other.
She: Why don't you like it!
Me: I do like the dress! I LIKE THE DRESS!
She: You don't like the design, and you don't like the material, and I think that you are lying about liking the dress!
Me: Oh, bloody hell ... Right, the material is thin and clingy and it is cut to your figure. You are an attractive woman and it really suits you. I find it very appealing, especially with you standing in front of the window in the sunshine! So appealing in fact that I want to have you right here, right now. I absolutely LOVE that dress! Come here baby ...
She: You've got to be kidding - I'm going out!
Me: What - why, where are you going?
She: I'm taking the dress back to the shop!
Me: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
