If someone has got on your bike and is going away and your in a group ride, you can ask someone thats uber fast to go after it. The theif would have to be very good if the person who went to go get it was good.

The only advantage I have with a thief is that unless they have ridden a recumbent before, they are very likely to come off within a few yards. Balancing is very different to a DF bike.
