My Planet-X is currently under the butt of a friend from work. She's somewhat further down the earning scale from me, is enjoying the intro to road cycling on a decent bike and frankly is as anal as me when it comes to cleaning and maintenance.

In return, she whips my sorry arse around Thetford Forest on an MTB, instructing me on how to live a little longer and perform basic stunts that are still mostly a complete mistery to me.

The financial risk is mine, but then she risks being seen with someone the same age as her dad. I'm not sure who's risking more...

A friend on mine discovered a crack in the seat stay on her BMC whilst cleaning it after Bolton Ironman this year. It took almost a month for the warranty claim to be sorted and her back on the bike. Had she discovered the crack in the weeks before Ironman I'd have had no hesitation in lending her my Di2 equipped Planet-X bike for the event as the care she takes over her own bikes in beyond obsessive.

Indeed, I certainly couldn't have lifted my bike that height!
