Yep, that kind of thing! :okay:

I have bought a few cheap things from China. The purchases often take weeks to arrive, but I don't have any complaints about what was supplied.
I DID order 2 of those cheapo Garmin mounts from a Chinese supplier on eBay on the 2nd Jan and they arrived on the 21st. They seem perfectly ok.

I've generally not had much luck with cheapo bike bits and pieces.

The sidewalls on a £20 pair of Kenda tyres cracked after very few miles, all my Schwalbe tyres - about twice the price - have been faultless and long lasting.

A cheap pump I have is next to useless, and several cheap tools have let me down.

On the other hand, my cheapo Halfords bar end mirror does the job nicely, and I manage fine with cheap clothing.

Although I've never had any expensive cycling clothing, so don't know if it's any better.

K-edge CNC alloy for £25 - why would anyone hang £300+ of Garmin on a thin bit of plastic?
Because it works,

My Garmin touring has been allover Europe on a thin piece of plastic for the past 2 years without any problems.

If it works, why not use it?

I have never heard of one failing yet.
